LAYER 101010 - Milan Design Week
Animated Product Films
“The exhibition – 101010 – is a reflection on 10 years of LAYER and presents a bold vision for the next 10 years of design with a ground breaking collection of prototypes that address some of the most urgent challenges facing humanity today.” LAYER
We were tasked with producing a 30 second animated film for each of the six prototype objects. Each short needed to highlight the materials, process and functionality of each piece.
Each object provided its own design challenges. We had to remodel all objects from CAD data before developing our animation sequences.
Our most challenging project to date, this project featured everything from rigging and animating bees to simulating sand and oil bubbles, from modelling barren landscapes to complex cellular structures.
